Job Description

This role will report to the Financial Controller and will include a period of maternity cover focused on accounts receivable.

Duties will include

- Responsibility for the Accounts Receivable ledger (for maternity cover period), specifically

o Liaison with debtors and management to ensure invoices are paid or otherwise resolved

o Ensuring ledgers are up to date to facilitate sending out monthly statements

o Posting of remittance advices and allocation against invoices

o Allocation of customers’ deposits against outstanding invoices

o Preparation of source data to facilitate invoicing to key customers

o Preparation of monthly ledger analyses for Financial Controller review

o Preparation of weekly debtors reports to management

o Maintenance of physical/electronic accounts receivable data in an orderly and accessible manner

- Support within the accounts team, which covers:

o Payment and reconciliation of suppliers’ accounts

o Processing of vehicle tax payments

o Data entry into sage, excel and as otherwise required

o Dealing with accounts queries

o Welcoming visitors to the company premises/taking deliveries

o Opening/distributing the post

o Other as required by manager

The ideal candidate will have:

- Sage line 50 experience

- Strong Excel skills (sorting, lookups, downloading from/to sage)

- Previous experience in an accounts environment

- A commitment to seeing a task through

- A commitment to high standards of customer service

- A willingness to pitch in to ensure the accounts team as a whole meets its objectives
