Last week, on Monday 18th October TravelTime World, Berkhamsted’s leading High Street travel agent, held a gala dinner to thank some it’s most loyal clients.
The dinner was held at The Gatsby Restaurant, a relaxed and refined venue reflecting the happy travel experiences being celebrated by the Traveltime World clients. The restaurant was jam-packed with Traveltime World clients who had enjoyed holidays across the continents of the world with the help of the agency.
TravelTime World director and holiday expert, Jackie Steadman, hosted the occasion. Between each course she introduced guest speakers from across the travel industry who presented the pick of their new holidays for 2012.
Each guest speaker stressed the importance of booking holidays through professional travel agents. They all spoke enthusiastically; you could even say they raved, about the expertise of the TravelTime World team. All of them said that TravelTime World was their top travel agent to work with.
Gareth Hulmston from Lusso Travel gave enticing visions of languid holidays in the Indian Ocean, Caribbean and Arabia. He presented visions of white sand, glittering blue seas and palm trees.
Next Alison Armstrong from JetSet and Richard Howarth from AAT Kings did a joint presentation on travelling to Australia and New Zealand, organising hassle-free holidays and showing their expertise in arranging trips that would enable clients to explore the wonderful landscape and cities of Australia and New Zealand.
After Australia came the Mediterranean. Sophie Thackeray from Classic Collection talked about luxury hotel holidays in five star resorts on the Mediterranean. Sophie spoke at last years’ TravelTime World gala dinner. This year she sat on the same table as some TravelTimeWorld clients who had enjoyed Classic Collection holidays - an excellent advertisement for her company!
Jonathan Whiteley of First Class Holidays gave a PowerPoint presentation on Canada coast-to coast, a trip from Vancouver Island to Nova Scotia. He reminded guests that Canada is the 2nd largest land mass in the world so you needed to have a few months to make the journey. Vancouver Island alone is about the size of England. Jonathan had the diners laughing at his stories of being chased by Grizzly Bears. His top tip when going into bear territory was to take someone slower than you!
From Western and Oriental Luxury Travel Steve O’Loughlin offered special holidays across the globe including luxury family holidays in Latin America and tropical locations.
At the beginning of the evening, Traveltime World clients may have been at a loss as to where to take their next holiday. However, by the time they had finished dining, they would have been buzzing with ideas for their 2012 travels.
