Berkhamsted goes Boudoir – Shoot Me Studios

MORE than a hundred visitors, including potential customers, have been through the doors of Shoot Me Studios, a new boudoir and lifestyle photographic studio in Berkhamsted in its first week since launch.


The week kicked off with a Friday night launch party on July 1, where business contacts, friends, models, suppliers and partners savoured champagne and sushi amid the ambient surroundings of the plush new studio, with its impactful photographic canvasses.


Guests toasted the success of the exciting new venture in Claridge Court, Lower Kings Road, run by award-winning professional photographer Cynthia Nolan, whose distinct approach to clients – informed by a Masters degree in psychology – aims to draw out the real rather than the posed person.

“I want to thank everyone for their support,” said Cynthia after a week which has seen Ashlyns School Prom on Shoot Me Studios’ expanding commission list. “The feedback has been fantastic!


“People have been saying it’s just what Berkhamsted needs and that they love the relaxed, open, friendly atmosphere of the studio.


“They’ve also commented on the very natural, un-contrived images we produce, and are catching onto the fact that boudoir is about body confidence, subtle sensuality and a little bit of suggestion, but it doesn’t have to mean taking your clothes off!


“Next week, I’m doing a boudoir shoot with an 80-year-old grandma, which just goes to show, you’re never too old! She has a cheeky smile and a twinkle in her eye. I think we’re going to have lots of fun!”

Shoot Me Studios is the realisation of a dream for mum-of-two Cynthia, who for the last two years has run the successful Cheeky Chops Photos, a mobile business specialising in baby, toddler and family photography.


Partnered by Lee Gardener-Morris, Shoot Me Studios offers an edgier, more sophisticated range of services, from boudoir and lifestyle to fashion, portraiture and families.
