Spring certainly feels that it is on its way now and over the next couple of months we are going to be out and about at local shows and events; here’s a few of the forthcoming ones:
Chilterns Food and Drink Festival A weeklong series on events highlighting the great local producers and fine food and drink on offer in the Chilterns, running from the 25th March to the 2nd April, www.visitchilterns.co.uk/food-and-drink/foodfestival has all the detail, some events are already full so don’t delay, check it out today.
Friday 14th to Monday 17th April Join us once again at Great Missenden Food Festival over the Easter Weekend.
There are lots of new ideas and entertainment for you and your family this year, including: cook-along master classes, a wild food foraging walk, story-telling, lamb-petting and a sow’n’grow activity tent!
The Food Festival takes place in marquees and is located just off the A413 between Amersham and Wendover. www.greatmissendenfoodfestival.co.uk
Bank Holiday Monday 1st May The annual Aldbury May Fair will be taking place on the Bank Holiday from 12 noon to 5pm. As always, it’ll be a great day out with stalls and activities to suit everyone!
Sunday 7th May The 9th annual Aston Cinton Village Market http://acvillagemarket.co.uk/
Last year, it attracted over 2,000 visitors, so one not to be missed, Once again there will be a wonderful variety of stallholders and products and there will be local musicians and loads of children's entertainment too; it opens at 11am.
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May Visit the Herts County Show and come and say hello to us and many other local producers in the Hertfordshire marquee!
The Herts County Show is always a highlight of the calendar; as well as the great local producers there will be Mr Alexander’s Travelling Show, the National Festival Circus, falconry, cattle shows, traditional crafts and, of course, the food hall. You’ll find the showground just off Junction 9 of the M1. The show is open to the public from 8.30am 5.30pm and parking is free.
We have got lots more events lined up and we will post these details on the website and on Facebook over the next couple of weeks.
Our Easter order form are available to download by clicking here; we will also have printed copies available in the shop, the form will include items such as our baker’s wonderful Hot Cross Buns and other local produce; as well as Sarah’s Simnel cake which will be available by pre order only.
We are delighted to be hosting a giant Easter Egg Raffle on behalf of the Lions Club of Tring, to help them raise funds so that they can help others. Please pop in and put your name in a square, donate £1 and then wait for the draw on Good Friday. Good Luck!
We are of course stocking wonderful truffles and other Easter chocolate treats from Kiwichik of Tring; along with Kimberly’s finest handmade English chocolates, perfect for Mother’s day and gorgeous boxed chocolates and Fairtrade chocolate eggs from Coco Loco.
