Within the last couple of days several sets of vehicle index (number) plates have been removed from vehicles, overnight.
Offences were committed in Great Elms Road, St Johns Road and Millbank in Hemel Hempstead and from Elizabeth Drive in Tring.
Please advise watch members to pay attention to anyone interferring with vehicles particularly during the hours of darkness. Phone the Police using the 999 system if a crime is believed to be being committed, do not approach suspects. Note descriptions of offenders and their vehicles.
The stolen plates may end up being fitted to vehicles that are used to steal fuel from petrol outlets, on vehicles to avoid congestion charges or on vehicles for theft or burglary offences.
