During daylight hours yesterday, Tuesday 22nd March, two vehicles had their exhaust system catalytic converters stolen whilst parked in public car parks in Kings Langley.

The second vehicle was parked in The Nap car park and the theft occurred between 8.15am and 12.15pm.
Please pay attention to anyone acting suspiciously in public car parks. Phone the Police immediately using the 999 system if criminal activity is suspected but do not approach suspects. Note descriptions of suspects and their vehicle details.
These catalytic converters are being stolen for the precious metals they contain. Two crimes involving the theft of rural metal fencing materials have also been committed at farms near Tring recently.
The value of scrap metal has recently risen and in the future similar crimes are likely to be committed across Dacorum. Please pay attention to all people acting suspiciously. Never approach them but ’do’ phone the Police.
