Neighbourhood Watch News Article

At 02.35 hours on Wednesday 11th August a house burglary occured in the Ridgeway, Berkhamsted. The owner of the house has disturbed by a male inside his house, this male exit the house via the front door where he meet a second male who then ran to a car and drove off.
The only description of the vehicle is an old hatchback model.
The two males were described as both slim and tall. The male outside was wearing what appeared to be an anorack and at the time was using a mobile phone.
Entry to the premises was via the UPVC front door which had either been left unlocked or had not been double locked.
Although the Constabulary continues to advice residents about locking UPVC doors correctly we are still seeing these doors being compromised as a result of not securing them correctly. Could I please ask Co-ordinators to remind their watch members of the importance of using the deadlocking system on UPVC doors
