Professional hair brand KMS California are delighted to announce the UK Art Team for 2011:
Ahkeem Yussuf from Elements in Teddington
Hayley Welling from Cienté in Berkhamsted
Heidi McDonald from The Lounge in Truro
Liam Wickham from Hush in Livingston
The 4 talented members were selected after a gruelling application process which included submitted a photographic interpretation of the KMS 2010 Campaign “Hotel California”, and presenting a model to a panel of experts including Nick Wood, Managing Director UK and Kim Johnson, British Afro Hairdresser of the Year at the KMS Academy in London’s Mayfair.
The excited foursome have been undergoing training at The KMS Academy to ensure that they can represent the brand as key spokespeople for the next 12 months, and have already gelled as a team. To bring their talent to life, they will be creating their very own Photo Shoot later in the year, which will be featured in major trade press, released virally on the web and seen UK-wide. They will be working with a top photographer, make-up artist and professional models and shooting on location somewhere in the UK (soon to be revealed!).
KMS California believe in the spirit of individuality, which is why the photo shoot will be completely up to the team – its their chance to express themselves and showcase their talents while representing the brand.
The new KMS UK Art team will experience lots of exciting times over the next 12 months, so watch this space. Previous KMS UK Art Team members include former Men’s Hairdresser of the Year Desmond Murray, Former President of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing Sean Dawson and British Afro Hairdresser of the Year Kim Johnson! These four are definitely the rising stars of the hairdressing industry and ones to follow on a journey to success.
