‘Business Biscotti’ has been running for 16 months. In that time volunteers have opened 75 meeting groups in 25 counties with another 25 due to open soon. Dacorum is the latest local group.
The first meeting of the Hemel-Berkhamsted group got off to a flying start on 7th Septemeber with 25 attendees after just two weeks publicity, and it it expected to average about 40 coffee-drinking local entrepreneurs meeting on the first Wednesday of the month from now onwards.
There is no joining fee. Meetings cost only £5 for coffee and run for approximately two hours. You are free to drop in and leave at any time. No booking is needed and no speeches are made.
Biscotti monthly meetings are held across the UK. The venues support the Biscotti philosophy of giving something back to the local community. They provide the rooms for free.
Sue Reeves, Business Biscotti Marketing Director, said: “There has been incredible interest since we started a year ago and I have been amazed how quickly it has taken off.
A huge community based website has been created for Business Biscotti and since it began 16 months ago now has over 2,600 members, with more than 2 million hits per month.
There is a complimentary website where networkers can promote themselves free of charge, set up and join groups, e-mail each other, find out about other Biscotti events and lots more…
Berkhamsted-Hemel is run by Peter Grimshaw, Denise O’Dwyer and Caroline Walker
