Calling all daredevils, the Hospice of St Francis has launched another daredevil fundraising challenge and is looking for 200 volunteers to literally ’go over the top for the hospice!’ In this case it means abseiling 100 foot down the highest building in Hemel Hempstead, all for a good cause of course!
Currys owner, DSG international (international should be lower case) has kindly offered their Retail Support Centre building in Maylands Avenue as a platform for this stunt taking place on Sunday 26 September 2010. Registration costs just £25 with a minimum sponsorship requirement of just £100 - that’s just 10 friends sponsoring you £10 each - simple!
Community Fundraising Manager Harriet Karia commented: ”This is an amazing opportunity to set yourself a personal challenge whilst raising money for a good local cause. If you have ever wanted to do something daring then now is the time to grasp the opportunity and do this right on your doorstep. You don’t have to travel all the way to New Zealand to try out a daredevil stunt, but can do it right here in Hemel. As a hospice we arrange several amazing events and we often find that the wackier the better so I would urge anyone interested to sign up quickly.”
The Hospice of St Francis provides a range of services in the hospice and beyond, for patients and families living with life-limiting illness in Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempsted, St Albans and surrounding villages.
