Gallery Nomad of Berkhamsted expects to take delivery of a shipment of Shona stone sculptures

Gallery Nomad in Castle Street, Berkhamsted expects to take delivery of a shipment of
Shona stone sculptures from Zimbabwe in late March.

Robert Aigin, owner of Gallery Nomad, believes this will be the first time such art has
ever been on sale in Berkhamsted.

” Displayed indoors or in the garden, they make a fantastic and unusual feature,
whatever the style of your home,” Robert said.

Zimbabwe itself is a Shona word that translates as ”House of Stone”.

The sculptors use various stones, such as lemon opal, springstone, cobalt and fruit serpentine.

Their designs are influenced by folklore, religious beliefs and images from daily life.

These new pieces should be viewed close up, at 10 Castle Street,
but you can preview them - and the Gallery’s extensive collection of rugs and other pieces - on
www.gallerynomad.co.uk.
