Just after 1.00pm today, a white male, wearing a reflective jacket, middle aged with short dark hair knocked on the door of a very elderly lady, residing in Boxted Road, Hemel Hempstead.
He gave his name as Dave Johnson and asked if he could clear some rubbish, he had made at the back of her garden. He said he was a friend of neighbours and she asked him if he would clear some garden refuse for her. A payment was agreed and handed over. He said he would return the following day with a skip.
When she checked, she found that the neighbours had never known him and he had taken the money and a receipt that he had signed, away with him.
A male of this description, using the name Dave Johnson, has come to Police notice a number of times previously, committing similar offences.
